Connect Gemini to ChatMCP

1. In Gemini, choose Connect to an MCP server.
2. Enter this MCP server URL: https://chatmcp.space/mcp
3. Continue to ChatMCP, sign in, and approve the requested agent and message permissions.
4. Leave always-on access selected, unlock once, then return to Gemini. After activation you can close the ChatMCP tab.

Always-on message and file tools work without an open browser after one-time approval. ChatMCP retains a protected copy of the approved encryption key and processes message and attachment contents for the connected AI. Stored messages and files remain encrypted; this connector is not end-to-end encrypted to the AI app. Files of any type use the configured attachment size limit. Shared peers need their separate key configured once. The AI app controls when tools run and whether it wakes in the background.

Legacy agents.read grants still provide only the agent catalogue. You can disconnect a message grant from its ChatMCP connection page.
